How to learn to release yourself in the face of stress
What is mental health?
It is normal intelligence, emotional coordination, good mood, completely certain will qualities, harmonious interpersonal relationships, ability to adapt to the environment, a sense of happiness, and integrity.
With the development of society, competition is becoming more and more fierce, and people’s pressure in all aspects will increase. The special group of policemen will bear more pressure than ordinary people.
At the same time, psychological problems are more than 50% higher than ordinary people.
The Shaanxi Provincial Department of Public Security conducted a psychological test (SCl-90) on 603 police officers in October 2005. The results are as follows: The distribution of positive items for each factor score (the proportion of the total population) is: somatization 31%Force 25.
4%; interpersonal sensitivity 36.
5%; depressed 33.
7%; worried 44.
9%; hostility 37.
8%; horror 13.
9%; Paranoid 36.
7%; psychotic 20.
The first four items with a high proportion of each positive item in the total population are in order worry, hostility, paranoia, and interpersonal sensitivity.
According to the number of police age psychological problems: 76% of police officers aged 0-5 years; 67-9 police officers.
8%; 10-15 years police age is 63.
7%; 58 years old or above.
In other words, the shorter the police age, the more psychological problems.
In the pressure index test, the test has a pressure index of 2 and accounts for 9 of the people tested.
6%; pressure index is 3, accounting for 32.
5%; the pressure index is 4, accounting for 30.
7%; the pressure index is 5, accounting for 27.
It can be seen that most of the police have a pressure index of 3-4.
Among the subjects of my psychological consultation, the police group accounted for one-tenth of all consultants.
In practice, I have realized that the source of stress for psychological problems of civilian police mainly comes from the following aspects: First, life pressure.
Including major emergencies, minor incident damage, social factors, etc.
A wife who sacrificed a policeman couldn’t face the question about her father who was still in kindergarten. She said to the child, “The next time your classmates ask you again, you will say that my father is abroad.
“She didn’t want to be able to tell the truth to the child, for she was afraid that the child would not be able to bear such a heavy blow.
She couldn’t imagine how a child without a father’s love would grow up, so she used lies to establish a complete family model for her children.
As a policeman who hasn’t been in the police for a long time, in fact, she also needs the care and love of others very much, lonely, helpless, and lonely often attacked her.
The misfortune of life and the suspicion of reality put a heavy pressure on her, which made her deeply worried.
The cause is family pressure.
Stress from spouses includes conflict, illness, casualties, sex; children from school, employment, marriage; love from parents and brothers, conflicts of affection, etc.
I have contacted the policeman of a lady police station. He originally had a warm little home. The beautiful wife was known during his journey. Their love is very romantic.
The policeman’s home is in the countryside. He went to the big city to become a policeman, which is the glory of his entire family and even the whole village.
He is passionate about his profession and devotes all his benefits to his work. However, when the child was three years old, his wife suddenly proposed to divorce him.
His wife suspects that his rural family has been dragging down their small family, and his income is not high.
More importantly, his wife thinks he doesn’t understand love and life, is a workaholic, and she is just a nanny who brings him a son.
The third is work pressure.
Including work quality, work ability, job responsibility and job satisfaction.
A middle-aged policeman suffered from insomnia for more than a year. He always felt worried and came to me for consultation.
I observed that he was shaking hands and nervous when talking to me.
He said that he could n’t concentrate when he was at work, he was always flustered, and the writer trembled as soon as he was working. The child was in an Internet cafe all day long. At two or three o’clock in the middle of the night, he had to go to the Internet cafe to find the child.not good.
Through communication, I found that he was very inferior, and he did not dare to face his own heart, and did not dare to face the reality, such a problem with his son.
He told me that he was brought back to his parents by his grandmother until he was ten years old. His father was a grumpy soldier. As long as he made a mistake, his father would add his fists and feet and never praise him.
He has never been accepted by his family in his memory. Therefore, for many years, he has lived in a state without himself, without feeling happy and happy.
This state continues into his work and family, so he treats everything negatively and passively, and the child grows distorted in his negative emotions. Without confidence, the child naturally does not learn well.
The first type of stress is interpersonal stress.
Such as communication barriers, deteriorating interpersonal relationships, difficult mutual responsibilities, non-cooperation, trapping, pushing responsibilities, crowding out each other, pulling gangs, and being alone.
Many police officers come to consult because of interpersonal tension.
They are sensitive and suspicious of people, mostly in pursuit of perfect personality, have high expectations of themselves, make mistakes by exchanging themselves, which cause worry, self-blame, depression, and some hostility, do not love themselves or others. Those who do not know what others are worried about, they are full of contradictions and conflicts in their hearts. As a result, the quality of life is not high, the work performance is not high, the sense of happiness, and the sense of accomplishment are insufficient.
Shrouded in negative emotions, living in unhappiness.
Here, I would like to remind the police that they should learn to release themselves in the face of pressure.
Self-decompression and catharsis are effective means of psychological release.
It is also a good idea to talk to friends and relatives or find a professional psychologist.
Visually speaking, it is to choose an activity you like that can release the pressure, and try your best to undertake this activity.
If you feel wronged, crying is also a good thing.
In addition, as a psychiatrist and a member of the police, I hope that the public security organs should strengthen professional psychological training for young police.
Improve their ability to deal with emergencies and psychological endurance.
Strengthen self-learning and self-improvement, adapt to the environment, face difficulties with a positive attitude, maintain mental health, and improve the quality of life.
Full leadership should be people-oriented, pay attention to the family of the police, their lives, their emotions, and try their best to create a warm and harmonious living environment for the police.
At the same time, I also hope that the public security organs will strengthen the police’s public relations work so that citizens can have a better understanding of the special profession of the police, so as to love, respect, understand and help the police.
